“有人在上面吗？”
“Isanyoneupthere?”
农夫问道，抬头看到了小克劳斯。
askedthefarmer，lookingupanddiscoveringLittleclaus.
“你为什么躺在那儿？下来，跟我进屋吧。”
“whyareyoulyingupthere?edown，andeintothehousewithme.”
于是小克劳斯下来了，告诉农夫他是怎么迷路的，并请求借住一晚。
SoLittleclauscamedownandtoldthefarmerhowhehadlosthiswayandbeggedforanight’slodging.
“好的。”农夫说，“但我们得先吃点东西。”
“Allright，”saidthefarmer;“butwemusthavesomethingtoeatfirst.”
女人非常友好地接待了他们俩，在一张大桌子上铺上桌布，给他们端上一盘粥。

农夫非常饿，胃口很好地吃着粥，但小克劳斯忍不住想起了他知道在烤箱里的美味烤肉、鱼和馅饼。

在桌子下面，他的脚边，放着装着马皮的袋子，他打算在隔壁城镇卖掉它。

现在小克劳斯一点也不喜欢粥，于是他用脚踩了踩桌子下面的袋子，干皮发出很大的吱吱声。
NowLittleclausdidnotrelishtheporridgeatall，sohetrodwithhisfootonthesackunderthetable，andthedryskinsqueakedquiteloud.
“嘘！”小克劳斯对他的袋子说，同时又踩了一下，直到它发出比之前更大的吱吱声。
“hush!”saidLittleclaustohissack，atthesametimetreadinguponitagain，tillitsqueakedlouderthanbefore.
“嘿！你的袋子里有什么！”农夫问。
“hallo!whathaveyougotinyoursack!”askedthefarmer.
“哦，这是一个魔法师。”小克劳斯说，“他说我们不必吃粥了，因为他用法术变出了一烤箱的烤肉、鱼和馅饼。”
“oh，itisaconjuror，”saidLittleclaus;“andhesaysweneednoteatporridge，forhehasconjuredtheovenfullofroastmeat，fish，andpie.”
“太棒了！”农夫叫道，跳起来打开烤箱门；那里放着农夫妻子藏起来的所有好吃的东西，但他以为是桌子下面的魔法师变出来的。
“wonderful!”criedthefarmer，startingupandopeningtheovendoor;andtherelayallthenicethingshiddenbythefarmer’swife，butwhichhesupposedhadbeenconjuredtherebythewizardunderthetable.
女人不敢说什么；于是她把东西摆在他们面前，他们俩都吃了鱼、肉和糕点。

然后小克劳斯又踩了一下他的袋子，它像之前一样吱吱叫。
thenLittleclaustrodagainuponhissack，anditsqueakedasbefore.
“他现在说什么？”农夫问。
“whatdoeshesaynow?”askedthefarmer.
“他说，”小克劳斯回答，“在烤箱旁边的角落里有三瓶酒是给我们的。”
“hesays，”repliedLittleclaus，“thattherearethreebottlesofwineforus，standinginthecorner，bytheoven.”
于是女人也不得不拿出她藏起来的酒，农夫喝了酒，直到他变得非常高兴。
Sothewomanwasobligedtobringoutthewinealso，whichshehadhidden，andthefarmerdrankittillhebecamequitemerry.
他想要一个像小克劳斯袋子里装着的那样的魔法师。
hewouldhavelikedsuchaconjurorasLittleclauscarriedinhissack.
“他能变出魔鬼吗？”农夫问。“我现在就想见见他，趁我这么高兴的时候。”
